Welcome to Victoria Anne Wofford

Lifelines

Set in today's New York City, Lifelines is a bewitching first novel for Victoria Wofford.  Lifelines is a murder mystery, a love story and a romp through ancient history, that intertwines the current life of beautiful redhead criminal lawyer, Rhiannon O'Rourke, with detailed scenes from her past lives and loves as an ancient warrior and as a survivor in a burning Atlanta Civil War battle.  Plagued by bizarre waking visions of her past lives and lovers, and distracted by her lusty attraction to NYPD detective Daniel McKenzie, Rhiannon sets out to prove why her wealthy Opera star friend did not commit the cold-blooded on-stage murder of her husband that seemed so obvious to everyone else.

When vivacious Rhiannon O'Rourke meets no-nonsense NYPD detective Daniel McKenzie, the attraction is immediate. Even the fact that he's investigating the murder of wealthy Alexander Carr while she is defending Carr's accused wife can't keep the two apart. Yet when Rhiannon begins having bizarre daydreams of a man and woman living in centuries past, she fears the stress of her career may have finally begun to take its toll. See Review
